Cargilfield is ideally situated in Barnton, to the West of Edinburgh. It is near Edinburgh Airport, close to the Forth Road Bridge, the M8, and the Edinburgh city Bypass. The school has several acres of its own grounds adjacent to the Bruntsfield Golf Course.

Cargilfield is situated on the west side of Edinburgh, within 10 minutes of the airport, Forth Road Bridge, Waverley railway station and the city centre. There is easy access to the M8, M9 and M90 motorways west and north and also easy access to the Edinburgh City Bypass. Although the postal address is Barnton Avenue West, the main entrance is on Gamekeeper’s Road approximately half way along. Beware of speed bumps once into the school grounds.
From Edinburgh Airport:
Follow signs for City Centre and A8. Take the underpass below the Gogar Roundabout and then turn left at the traffic lights into Maybury Road, signposted to the Forth Road Bridge and Barnton (A90) A920. Continue to the Barnton Junction, and carry on straight onto Whitehouse Road. Carry on until you reach Gamekeeper’s Road, where you turn right. The school will be on your right approximately half way along the road.
From Edinburgh City Centre:
Follow signs for the A90 and Forth Road Bridge. Continue on Queensferry Road to the Barnton Junction. Turn right into Whitehouse Road, Carry on until you reach Gamekeeper’s Road, where you turn right. The school will be on your right approximately half way along the road.
From the Forth Road Bridge:
Stay on the A90 to the Barnton Junction. Turn left onto Whitehouse Road, signposted to Barnton and Cramond. Turn right into Gamekeeper’s Road. The school will be on your right approximately half way along the road.
