There's never a dull moment at Cargilfield. Check on this page for all of our news. It’s updated weekly and will give you a good sense of the goings-on at school.

Autumnal weather could not dampen the spirits of those enjoying the weekend in school, although the England defeat to France in the World Cup on Saturday morning certainly took a smile off one or two of the staff’s faces! As always, Mandy produced a wonderful spread for Breakfast, and then it was off kayaking for some with Mr Laver, Chinese art and silk painting in the Art Room, giant pizza construction (and then tasting!) in the kitchen and Mr King began construction of a different kind in the DT workshop: he and some boat builders started work on a 9ft wooden boat which will hopefully be launched in the summer! After lunch, there was a murder mystery afternoon with Mrs Sommerville whist others did some digital photography, making a gingerbread house and an alphabet scavenge around the grounds! In addition, the ICT suite was open just before supper and then it was time to settle down and watch the X Factor and a DVD!
On Sunday morning, those taking part in the Glenalmond Choral Day, preparing for the Evensong, headed off in the minibuses with Mrs Sommerville; back at school there was extreme go carting up in Perth, a chance to shoot at Mr Pike in Laserquest, there was more photography, another Alphabet scavenge for 26 prizes and some pottery, as well as some soccer, ICT and a chance to relax in front of the fire and TV in the library! All in all, another busy couple of days: thank you to the children for taking part so enthusiastically, and to the staff for all their efforts.
