If you have thought about visiting Cargilfield, you will
have normally heard about us from some of your friends; this
will always be the best way for the school to promote its
education. You may have seen us in a magazine or newspaper
advert or you may have been recommended to visit Cargilfield
by a Senior School; however you end up coming through the
front door, I hope that you find Cargilfield not only a friendly
and happy place but a place of real power, anticipation and
success and I do not just mean success on a games field or
in a work room, but success in building confidence as we
prepare boys and girls for the future.
If you want to arrange a visit to Cargilfield, please simply
contact the main office on 0131 336
2207 and come to see
us on a day to suit you - we prefer individual visits
to Open Mornings. After the visit, you may want your
child or children to visit the school for a day or come for
an overnight or even indeed a weekend visit; this can be
arranged through the office and I can assure you that we
will look after your children during their visit, which may
also include a very short and informal testing in Maths and
English.
Where do I go from here?If at the end of some of these visits you are confident
that Cargilfield is the place for your child, we urge you
to register as early as possible. Some of our year-groups
are very full and it saves rushing at the end or indeed being
disappointed.
Visits to the school before the beginning of a career at Cargilfield
are always a major part in an individual’s preparation
for coming here. We do not mind children coming on more
than one occasion and in the past one or two children have
come for at least two weekends. This approach, which
is both informal and full of action makes the transition as
smooth as possible.
