U11C Hockey battle hard

Lots of learning!

It was a frosty afternoon for the girls. They started their first game against the U11 girls very well but lack of movement around the Fettes goal meant very little chances to score as the girls tended to stay back. Esme had to take on the role of goal keeper, which she was not familiar with. She gave it a good go and tried her best unfortunately the opposition had a strong attack. Natasha managed to score twice in this first game.

In the second game against the U10, the girls learned from their mistakes and supported the attack and defence better. Julia managed to score a good goal in the first half of the game. The girls need to remember to look to who they are sending the ball as many were lost going straight to the opposition. They started to be better at using the space and positioning themselves to be ready to receive the ball by the second half of the last game. Something to work on. Overall, the girls had a good team spirit, cheering on each other and it was an enjoyable game to watch.

Well done girls.
