This week in P3 we have been learning about boats past and present. We have imagined sailing across the South China Sea aboard the Cutty Sark, talked about the adventures of Scott and Shackleton on the RRS Discovery and learned how the steam engine saw the demise of the sailing boat in world trade.

We have also been doing lots of experiments around sinking and floating and boat design. Today, we made our own paddle boats using a small plastic bottle, two elastic bands and a medicine spoon!
