Form 5A Cricket beat Fettes

An excellent game of cricket!

Fettes A batted first and Monty was the pick of our bowlers with his 2 overs going for just 4 runs and taking 3 wickets. He also took an excellent low catch to get our first wicket and Harry also took two great catches. Even though there were some powerful shots from Fettes’ middle order, some terrific bowling at the end, reduced their total to 64 runs. Our first over with the bat was conservative but Rafa set the tone after that with a terrific 6 from the first ball he faced. Our batting was very strong with a most of our players getting lots of boundaries which meant we reached the required total with 4 overs to spare. Our captain Archie scored 40 runs from just 17 balls and was voted player of the match for his all-round performance with the bat and the ball. It is lovely to see so much enthusiasm from the boys and the quality of cricket on show was as good as any I have seen from boys of this age. Well played boys and catches definitely win matches!
