We were looking forward to our much-anticipated game against St Mary’s. We knew it was going to be tough but wanted to continue our un beaten start to the season. We started off really well putting St Marys under a lot of pressure. Our attacking presence paid off when we capitalised on a short corner, with Anna scoring a great goal. When we went 2-0 up, we got complacent and allowed St Marys back into the game. St Marys were a tough and feisty team and our girls hadn’t come up against an opposition like this yet. We had to dig deep if we were going to come away with a win. In the fourth quarter our girls showed great character and put the game to bed scoring three great goals and finishing just how we started, with a fantastic short corner by Venetia earing a good hard 4-1 win. Well, done girls.
