Our U11B team put in terrific performance and had it not been for our own Alexander L in goal for Loretto in the first half and Mack in our goal for the second, the score difference would have been a lot more.
In the first half, we kept playing the ball to the left and as the game moved on, our left sided players began to look up more and work the ball back along the defenders to the right-hand side. Arthur worked very hard up and down the right and put some dangerous crosses in. Dexter was lively in midfield and had a few shots saved until we managed to get the breakthrough in the first half after Oliver T rushed forward from defense to pick up a loose ball and slot it past Alexander. James M and Senuka moved the ball well and created some opportunities for our forward players.
The second half Caspian and Toby moved the ball well but often got in each other’s way. However, Caspian was put into space and blasted the ball into the goal to make it 3 nil. James S played on the right and showed some lovely skill. Caspian had a few more shots which went wide but overall it was a good team performance for the first game of the season.
Players of the match goes to Alexander and Mack who both kept in goal for Loretto very well indeed!
