U11B Hockey beat Fettes

Lots of goals and a super performance!

On a bright and breezy January day our U11B team welcomed our neighbours Fettes to Cargilfield. The boys looking to build on their positive performance against Loretto last week, and started the game brilliantly with some incisive passing that led to a number of fine saves from the Fettes keeper. When the first goal went in from Dexter the flood gates opened before half time and led to a substantial lead to the Cramond men at half time.

Mack with very little to do made two excellent saves at the start of the second period to keep a clean sheet. Although the second half only produced a couple of goals, the standard and speed of Hockey was much improved with the ball being shipped to all corners of the pitch with precision and speed.

A clear player of the match today with Dexter stepping up and converting 7 of the 9 goals scored. An excellent team display and I look forward to seeing this group develop over the term! Well done, gents!
