U9B Hockey beat Strathallan

A superteam effort!

The Under 9s travelled up to Forgandenny for a match against their Strathallan counterparts. In the first half, the boys demonstrated some excellent passing and dribbling, which allowed them to take control of the match quite early on and led to several goals before half time. Cargilfield’s use of space was very good at times and, with the ball doing most of the work, they were able to keep the defence pinned back in their own ‘D’.

The second half was also dominated by Cargilfield but perhaps with a little less elegance and fewer passes. Nevertheless, the boys maintained their determination and energy to finish the game well, earning a 5-0 win. The player of the match was Oliver for his effort to pass the ball throughout the match.

Well done to the whole team for a fine effort and our sincere thanks to Strathallan, who were very welcoming hosts.
