What a fantastic afternoon we had in the sunshine at Merchiston for their annual Cross Country Relay races. We took a total of 17 teams to the event and this was the first time that girls were invited to take part. The Cargilfield girls and boys were on great form and all 51 of them ran their hardest on what is always a gruelling course with some tight sections and steep hills. Although we didn't win any of the relays, our U9A Girls' Team, U9A Boys' Team, U11A Girls' Team and U13A Girls' Team all came second in their races - a great achievement against some very strong and competitive schools. Congratulations to the Merchiston U13A team who beat their own course record!

Well done to all the Cargilfield children who took part and a special thanks to those who stood in at the last minute for those who were absent.
