U13B Rounders v St Mary’s
Win 13.5 – 13
After a long coach journey, the U13Bs arrived at St Mary's. Cargilfield batted first and after a slow start, Annika and Bea batted well to take the 1st innings total to 6.5 rounders. However, they were complacent as they took to the field and St Mary's took advantage of our sleepiness to score 7 rounders, giving them the edge.
A productive team talk at the halfway mark sparked some competitiveness and the girls began batting well: Lily, Tessa and Judith all contributed rounders towards the total of 7 rounders. This energy continued into their fielding efforts and Aurelia took some good catches to stump people at second base. As a result, St Mary's were contained to 6 rounders and Cargilfield claimed victory by half a rounder.
