With the Form 8s being away we had the oppurtunity to play all of our form 7s in this U12 game with Fettes. It was a sunny hot day so we needed to use the subs really well. Struggling to find a goalie Lyla stepped up and had a lovely game. Maddie lead by example and kept the team going. It was a hard fought game with very few oppurtunities. Thankfully we took one of our chances and agasint the run of play we went 1-0 up. Fettes were having most of the possesion and controlling the game well but our defence stood strong.
We could only hold out for so long before Fettes scored a cracker of a goal and we went into half time at 1-1.
Second half was much of the same with Fettes dominating possesion but thankfully our step in keeper, Lyla, came out with some cracking saves and kept the score at 1-1. A good team performance but a lot of work to do to get our team playing together.
