U11B Hockey v Craigclowan
A tough day on the pitch for our U11B team who narrowly lost to a strong Craigclowan side. Our team of Alexandra M-S, Helena S, Florence N, Isla S-A, Lottie B, Clara H (captain), Alice N & Glory A were strong from the beginning, however letting their eyes off the ball for mere seconds resulted in a quick goal from the opposition. Saying this, the squad got their mojo back after a team talk involving in the players hyping each other up. With Glory being a strong presence up front, Florence running up and down the wing almost constantly and Helena with her usual smashing of the ball up the pitch from the D, the team stayed strong for the rest of the game to keep pressure and defend as much as possible. Credits should be given to Isla S-A for being almost everywhere on the pitch at once, Lottie for marking out any player in the D and both Clara & Alice for their determination in getting possession back when lost. A big well done to Alexandra for playing her first match in the goals, making some great saves doing so. Player of the Match goes to Flo for giving her all for the whole game. An unfortunate game but we showed off our skills, onwards and upwards team!
