Hedge Planting in the Pentlands

Hedge Planting in the Pentlands

A fabulous afternoon in the countryside

As part of the conservation element of the John Muir Award, our Outdoor Adventure group spent an afternoon working alongside the Friends of the Pentlands, and Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust, to plant some hedges in order to encourage biodiversity in the Swanston area. The children planted around 450 trees of various varieties and have asked to go back to do some more later in the term.
