P3 had an excellent Ancient Egyptian day of fun and a variety of challenges. First, they worked in groups to create a mummy, using paper and glue. Next, they created their own hieroglyph name on papyrus using lots of gold, detail and precision. After break, P3 got into pairs building to build a sugar lump pyramid using exactly 91 cubes, a lot of trial and error but all achieved a secure pyramid. After an Egyptian banquet, and a break, P3 danced it off to ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’ with the Gaps teaching them a sequence of moves. Lastly, P3 sang their hearts out to songs about Egyptian gods and watched part of ‘Asterix and Cleopatra’ movie, a well deserved rest after a packed day of fun!
