The annual Scottish Prep Schools' debating competition saw five schools come together at Cargilfield to battle it out with some expert verbal jousting!

The first-round motion was "This house believes modern life is toxic to our mental health" and demonstrated fantastic research, confidence and skills each team had. After a short break, research began on the unseen motion, "This house would abolish zoos". With a finite amount of time, the pressure was on for each team to have ready a speech that they could deliver with aplomb; and they all did fantastically. The Plate winners were Gordonstoun and the overall winners were our very own James and Amalia, the latter having been the reigning champion for the last three years. Very well done, everybody!
