Form 7 Rounders V Fettes
I think we felt a little unprepared as we headed off to Fettes this afternoon. However, Lara stepped up and led her team with calmness and was an excellent bowler throughout the match. We lost the toss and batted first. Anna got us off to a great start hitting well into the deep and was definitely our most valuable player of the match. Amenah, Lara and lily also put in a good performance in the first innings and we ended with a total of 11. Fettes came into bat and were a little tentative only scoring a half in the first 10 balls but then they began to find their feet. Our fielding was good and Lara made a super catch, Anna was effective on second base and Sophia kept her nerve, stumping out a player on third.
In the second innings Fettes fought back strongly. There batting stepped up a level and they were much more effective fielding in the deep and limiting our scoring.
