P1 visits Scottish Deer Centre

Lots of outdoor learning!

P1 excitedly jumped into the minibuses and headed for Fife on Monday to visit the Scottish Deer Centre for the day as part of our study of Food Webs this term. We played lots of Food Chain games and saw a whole host of native Scottish animals, some that still live here, but many that have not lived in Scotland for a very long time.

We fed the fallow deer and watched the otters having fun together by their pond. We met a group of wildcats and had a close encounter with a playful bear. We managed to squeeze in a bit of play on some vintage vehicles and in the indoor climbing area before we headed back to school.
