Welcome to our video highlights from Cargilfield's panel discussion "The Internet & Its Impact On Our Children"

Welcome to our video highlights from the Cargilfield panel discussion, "The Internet & Its Impact on Our Children," which took place on October 10th. Led by our Headmaster, Rob Taylor, this event brought together four knowledgeable specialists who shared their thoughts on how the internet shapes the lives of our young ones.

Arabella Skinner is a psychologist working with Safe Screens, a group of doctors, psychologists and speech and language therapists and you may have seen her in the media discussing children and smartphones. Ian Phillips is working with InspirEdu, focusing on leveraging technology to enhance education internationally, simplify school systems, and empower pupils to address global challenges. Leeanne Turner specialises in child protection and safeguarding and has talked to our parents, and staff, about digital safety for our children. Emma Buchanan is Deputy Head and Head of the Pre-Prep at Cargilfield School, with responsibility for overseeing the wellbeing and academic development of the younger members of the school community.

In these key video highlights, you'll hear insights on the benefits and challenges of digital life, covering everything from online safety, and gaming to the influence of social media. Our panellists offered practical advice and strategies to help parents and educators guide children in this ever-evolving online landscape.
