U11 Hockey v Merchiston

Won 4-0

This was the first match of the season for many of the boys and the excitement was tangible as the hit-off approached.

Freddie H worked hard up front, creating several chances for himself and his teammates. Teddy and Daniyal played well on the wings, keeping the width and making good leading runs. Teddy also scored a well-placed goal after running in at the far post. There were some excellent interchanges between the midfielders and the wingers throughout the match.

Louis had an outstanding game, influencing play across the pitch and providing a backbone to the team's endeavours, and showing plenty of creativity in midfield. His all-round performance was a key factor in the team’s success. James R also showed promising development in only his second match, contributing steadily throughout in attack. Freddie J displayed plenty of energy and helped disrupt the opposition’s attacks, chasing down everything —an encouraging effort in his first match for the school.

In defense, Manrai, Leo, and Freddie B performed solidly during their time at the back, maintaining composure when they were called upon to act. James M was named player of the match for his determination and energy as a holding midfielder, consistently working hard for the team and winning back the ball countless times.

The match ended with a well-earned 4–0 victory.
