More Maths Success! 

Well done to our senior mathematicians who have won awards at this year’s UK Mathematics Trust Intermediate Maths Challenge.

Cargilfield has won an impressive 3 gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze awards in the recent UK wide Intermediate Maths Challenge for 14-16 year olds. Taken at the end of January they achieved 8 certificates.Oliver came top followed by James and Honour. These three qualified for the Grey Kangaroo competition held in March. Well done to all those who took part!

The Intermediate Maths Challenge was taken by approximately 250,000 pupils. Top performers go on to compete in either the Olympiad or Kangaroo competitions. Only the top 500 take part in the UK Olympiad. The Kangaroo is taken by approximately 8000 pupils across the UK and is a worldwide competition which involves competing against pupils from over 50 countries.
