The children in Form 5 enjoyed meeting the author Barbara Henderson at Merchiston Castle School on Wednesday 14th May. Barbara read us extracts from her latest book “I Don’t Do Mountains” which was commissioned by Scottish Mountaineering Press to help educate young people and encourage them to have their own mountain adventures. We also took part in some fun activities where Form 5 proved themselves very knowledgeable about Scottish Wildlife and what we need to take with us to stay safe when we are walking in the hills.
