U10 Rugby teams play Loretto!

Lots of tries to start the season!

Our Under-10 boys welcomed Loretto to the school on Wednesday for a triangular tournament, with Cargilfield fielding two teams, Stripes and Blues.

The Stripes took on Loretto in the first game, which proved to be a festival of tries, with both teams enjoying the opportunity to take the attack to the opposition. The score see-sawed in the first half, but in the second half, the Stripes managed to get a try ahead and then maintained the margin until the final whistle. Stripes took on Blues in the second match, this again saw a number of tries and ended in a draw. In the final match, it was the Blues turn to play Loretto, they used some good support play and well-timed offloads. Thomas scored a couple of tries through some fantastic offloads by Chay just metres from the try line. This match also ended in a draw – both sides produced some great tries and determined tackles. Well done to all the boys.
