U10 girls grab a crucial goal!

A narrow win in the wind!

v St Mary’s Melrsoe Win 1-0

It was a windy game today at Peffermill. Unfortunately Annika lost the toss and St Mary’s chose the centre pass. However, Cargilfield were quick to gain possession of the ball and got into St Mary’s D quickly. The girls needed to be stronger as soon as they got into the D to confidently score goals. Annika, Famke and Isabella and Amelia worked brilliantly as a team, communicating and passing the ball successfully. Lottie used some excellent skill to dribble past the St Mary’s girl to pass to Mariella who then dribbled the ball straight into the D. The St Mary’s team managed to save this but she didn’t give up and confidently scored the only goal of the match. Judith and Sophia stopped the ball as soon as St Mary’s entered the Cargilfield D. Judith used the width of the pitch to her advantage. A great second game of the season.
