U11B Girls beat Fettes

U11B Girls beat Fettes

A nail biting win - well done!

Win 8-9

Starting the afternoon with a good warm up led by their captain Lulu, the girls did well on the rounders pitch. They won the toss and started fielding. As we played 2 innings, the girls managed to rotate positions. Lulu started bowling first and then Iona. They did well and did not lose any points due to no balls. It was important as every half rounders counted for this match with such a close final score. Francesca and Anna were backstop and the other girls rotated the different positions at the posts and in the field. They were efficient in communicating together and passing the ball quickly as they managed to get 7 of the Fettes players out in total. When batting, Matilda did well as she took more risks to get her team two half rounders. Annabella is the only girl who managed a full rounder for this game. Francesca batted an impressive ball in the fields in the first innings but unfortunately she got out as the ball was caught.

The girls all played very well with a good team spirit and fair play. They can be proud of themselves.

Well done, girls!
