U10 Girls Hockey vs St Mary’s (22.09.2021)

It was a tight first half, with St. Mary’s scoring the first goal in the first two minutes. Lottie CB, Rosanna and Lotte B felt the pressure in defence and worked hard to keep the ball out of the D from then on. Thalia, Olivia, Emily and Emilia’s teamwork allowed them to attack well. Cargilfield U10’s finished the first half with two goals from Olivia and another two from Emily. Two more goals from St. Mary’s meant the score at half time was 4-3.

It was a much stronger second half. Lucia, Cece and Scarlett were fantastic in defence. St. Mary’s had many shots at goal but the girls kept their sticks down and managed to pass out to the wings on multiple occasions, with only two goals conceded. A hat trick from Olivia in the second half and goals from Thalia and Lottie CB, meant the final score was 9-5.

Overall the girls worked really well as a team, calling for each other on the pitch. Well done girls!
