Well done to all the girls who travelled away to play against ESMS in Ravelston.

The A team faced tough opposition who moved the ball quickly and accurately. We fell behind 3-0 in the first half as we struggled to keep up with their pace of play. The second half was more encouraging though and the team held their shape more effectively. Tessa worked hard in defence while Scarlett and Tunrayo covered a lot of the pitch as midfield dynamos.

The B team were more closely matched and Cargilfield threatened the ESMS goal while also defending resolutely. Nadia and Shriyaa were strong in defence and Nancy showed some strong skills in midfield. It looked as though Cargilfield might sneak the game at the end but a 0-0 draw was pro0bably a fair result in this hard fought match.

Two creditable team performances. Our thanks to ESMS for their hospitality and for sharing a goalkeeper in both games to help make the games more even.
