U10 Rugby beat Loretto

U10 Rugby beat Loretto

A fun game of Touch!

This the second time the Cargilfield and Loretto Under-10s had met for a touch rugby game this term; whereas the first was a somewhat quieter affair, this match was full of competitive action. Loretto took advantage of their kick-off by making excellent progress up the field during their first set of 6 touches, leaving them within yards of the try line. Cargilfield managed to regain some territory during the next phase, but Loretto used their next set to score. The game became hard fought after that, both teams were outstanding in defence and managed to keep the other at bay for quite some time until some smooth passing from wing to wing allowed the Cargilfield boys to level the score. Edward, Caspian and Toby pressed very well in defence in the second half which created more opportunities - some of these chances were lost due to handling errors but several were converted too. Loretto managed to score a couple of tries of their own too with the game ending in a narrow victory to Cargilfield.

Well done to the boys on both teams for a tremendous effort.
