This was a fast-paced game and the girls played well in the first quarter even thought they did lose the ball too easily a few times. They managed to improve on this in the 2nd and 3rd quarters as they were less apprehensive and were ready to intercept more. They did notice the opposition was using a lot of low balls and used this to their advantage. There were a few mistakes made that the girls could have avoided and there will be things to work on in training. Our GS and GA did a good job scoring and had a few opportunities taken by a strong defence in the opposition. Our WD, WA and Centre passed the ball fast along the pitch which even caused a few falls from our GD and WD -one rule the girls learnt today is that we cannot pass the ball if sitting down on the floor!
Unfortunately, we had to cut the match short by one quarter due to timing issues but the girls really enjoyed themselves. As usual, they were motivated and even worked on a couple of chants to cheer themselves at the beginning of the game.
