Under 11 B v St .Mary’s. Cricket

The Under 11 B squad travelled to St Mary’s and enjoyed a close and very exciting game.

Captain Theo won the toss and opted to field. As well as some fine bowling from the whole team Toby took an excellent catch and both Leo and James S ran out one of the opposition ‘s batsmen. This enabled Cargilfield to keep St Mary’s score down to 54 from their 16 overs.

Cargilfield’s response started well as James S & Toby scored 23 runs from their four overs but was halted as James M & Honour struggled a little with their running between the wickets. A fine innings from Arthur, where he scored 7 fours, took the score to 46 with four overs remaining. Unfortunately, Leo & Theo were unable to get the team across the winning line as with just one ball left they needed two runs to win but were unable to put bat on ball. This meant that St. Mary’s ran out winners by just one run.
