First games of the season kicked off with the U11A team heading North to Kilgraston. The weather was fantastic and we had a strong squad of Athena (Capt), Olivia M, Emily B, Emily M, Lottie CB, Thalia, Livia, Beatrice DH, Zinnia and Alice B. The game started off strong with Cargilfield dominating Kilgrastons end of the pitch. We scored our first goal quickly and the team started to get used to one another and gelling as a team. The first half finished 4-0 with Lottie scoring 2, Olivia 1 and Emily B 1.

The second half of the match, positions were changed and the team was tested. Kilgraston started to work harder and they really worked on their tackling and challenged us. The girls also picked up their game making it hard for Kilgraston to get into our defending third. After the half time talk we discussed our set up around the opposition when they have a free hit. The girls executed this well and stopped all balls getting through. The game finished 6-0 with both Lottie and Olivia scoring a second goal.

Areas of development, moving off the ball into a space, communication and dribbling into a space. We look forward to working on this during training sessions and next week’s game. Well done!
