2nd XV Rugby v Craigclowan

The 2nd XV warmed up for the weekend tour with a comprehensive victory against Craigclowan. The victory contained some excellent running rugby with a particular focus on clean handling and moving the ball quickly across the field. Rufus captained the team and was player of the math for his powerful running and dominant tackling but lots of other players rolled on and off and made a contribution to an impressive performance. Even as Craigclowan pressed on the Cargilfield line towards the end of the match, the Cargilfield defence held strong.
There will be tougher opposition at the weekend but this is a capable team who can be proud of the dynamic rugby style with which they are playing. Well done as well to Craigclowan who kept going and grew in confidence as the second half went on.
