It was a lovely but cold day for our IAPS representative hockey tournament. All the girls from Cargilfield and Fettes were in good spirts and looking forward to playing with others teams. After watching the first game, Thistles vs Caledonians, our girls thought we were in for a good chance. Our first game against Caledonians we started off very strong, with a great run down the wing, a cross and great finish at far post to 1-0 up within the first couple minutes. We controlled the ball most game but Caledonians were determined and won a short corner which they converted. It ended up 1-1 as both teams looking for the winner but unable to find it.

Our second game against the Thistles we started off slow and allowed them to get an early goal. We slowly got back into the game and put loads of pressure on their D but were unable to convert. With a high press looking for a goal we left ourselves open at the back and the Thistles had a break away, won a short corner and were able to finish it. The game ending in a 2-0 loss.

It was a fantastic day with highly competitive games.
