U11A Netball v Ardvreck

Won 19-15

We were a slightly different line up to meet Ardvreck today and after what felt like a very long bus ride we were anxious to play. We didn’t start very well. We were slow to find our feet and the girls were a bit spooked by a much larger Ardvreck team. At the end of the first quarter we were only 2 goals ahead. Out team talk at the break focused on using lots of short, direct passes and jumping high on interceptions. This worked very well as Ardvreck tended to use long loopy passes. Zinnia was amazing, jumping high in the D and intercepting lots of balls heading to the GS.

By the third quarter we were back on form and our shooting which had been a bit unreliable in the first 2 quarters started to come together with both Scarlett and Lottie doing very well. Scarlett was also very mobile around the D and managed to get around the GD very well.

Overall this was a really good performance by our girls and it was fantastic to see them using a lot of the skills that we had been working on in training.
