U13B Hockey beat Ardvreck

U13B Hockey beat Ardvreck

A super team effort!

Ardvreck made the trip down from Crieff for a competitive and fast-paced game of hockey. There were strong players on both teams and it was good to see a physical contest, played in good spirit. The Cargilfield boys played with some good skill, passing the ball crisply and looking to link up with team mates quickly. Harry was the stand-out player of the afternoon with his clever distribution and impressive ball skills, he provided the cutting edge to the team. Rafa was solid in defense and looked up before passing, which was good to see. Tristan played mainly in defense with Rafa and also put in some excellent tackles, timing his block tackle perfectly. Daniel also tackled well, especially in the final quarter against the Ardvreck ‘big boy’ who was a constant threat. Charles followed the play well and made some telling contributions. Dexter was working hard off the ball and put himself in good positions throughout the game. Paddy was electric as he always is racing up and down the right wing, always putting himself in a position to score on the back post as well having the speed and fitness to get back in defense too. Sylvan is working himself back up to match fitness and showed some good skills. Archie marshalled the defense well from keeper and made some powerful kick saves too. Altogether, a good performance from the boys today, well played.
