1^st Team Netball v Belhaven

The second last game of the season the 1st team girls jumped on to the bus for another away game, this time down the East coast to Dunbar to play Belhaven.

We arrived early and were able to support the U9 girls while warming up. Belhaven won the toss to start with the ball and the game started. The first quarter was a bit quite messy and the girls struggled to connect and catch the slippery ball. The girls however did keep their fast game pace and linking with one another keeping Cargilfied ahead of Belhaven. First quarter finished 6-1.

In the 2nd quarter the girls found the very tall Belhaven GK & GD a challenge. High balls were passed into the shooters were easily intercepted and we had to problem solve to ensure our shooters were able to gain possession. Second quarter 3-2.

The 3rd and 4th quarters the girls started to read the game better, spreading out, reading the ball and game play and were able to work around the tall opposition with bounce passes and a lot of ball movement. 3rd quarter 8-0 & 4th quarter 5-1.

Final score 21-4 with Izzy was voted player of the match by Belhaven.
