U9A Netball lost to St Mary's

Some super netball on show

The Under 9s enjoyed their first fixture away to St Mary’s in lovely Melrose. We played four exciting quarters with lots of movement up and down the pitch and some very good passing. St Mary’s took an early lead and their moving into space and defending was a pleasure to see. They scored five super goals in the first two quarters despite great effort from Isla and Helena. We had a chat about our marking and we had a much better third quarter. Isla scored 2 and Alice 1. St Mary’s scored a further 2 goals.

The final quarter was exciting with the ball zipping up and down but no goals were scored.

Well done on a good effort, girls! We will work hard on our marking to try to improve.

Final score St Mary’s 7 Cargilfield 3
