U11B Cricket v Craigclowan
Won by 184 runs
A group of our Form 5 boys travelled to Perth for their final cricket match of the season to play Craigclowan in a pairs match.
Captain Nick won the toss and put the hosts in to bat first. Ezra and Raffi alternated the bowling for the first 4 overs, achieving a respectable economy rate of 4.25 runs per over - pressurising their opponents from the outset of the game. Hugo and Charlie took over, with Charlie picking up a wicket on his fourth ball. Magnus and Arran took the next shift and they took a wicket each, which lowered the score by 10 more runs. Nick and Benji had an even more effective stint with Nick taking two wickets and Benji took three (Benji also made a great runout in the innings). Finally, Ensay and Daniel each took a wicket, which left Craigclowan on 37 runs after their 20 overs.
After tea, Nick and Benji teamed up again for the first partnership, scoring 29 runs between them and hitting a number of boundaries. Daniel and Ensay made the most of their 4-over allocation to amass an impressive 65 runs, which included a couple of sixes. Arran and Magnus then achieved 55 runs between them. Ezra and Raffi scored 36 runs with 5 boundaries included. Hugo and Charlie rounded things off with a further 36 runs to make up a 221-run total - what a way to finish the season!
Well done to all the boys!
