Draw with Belhaven 9-9

In fine conditions, the U11A squad played an exciting game of rugby against our friends at Belhaven. The Cargilfield boys played well in patches, scoring some great tries and showing a willingness to pass the ball out wide to look for space. Daniel ran some great lines and even scored one try with only one boot on! Harry and Ensay tackled well but they couldn’t be everywhere and we learnt how important it is for everyone in the team to tackle as Belhaven had one speedster, who ran in all 9 of their tries. Hugo performed one perfect ruck, which led to a great try after some good hands from Tommy. Arran made the only turn-over of the game, which also led to a try after some great running from Nick. Lots to work on, but well played boys.
