U10 Hockey v Loretto
Won 5 - 1
On Wednesday, our under-10 team faced off against Loretto in an exciting five-a-side match with two 15-minute halves. Both teams showed great energy and skill, but it was Cargilfield who came out on top, winning with an impressive score of 5-1.
Right from the start, our attackers displayed excellent teamwork and spreading out. Arabella positioned herself brilliantly throughout the game, creating opportunities and scoring multiple times. Within the first few minutes, she scored the opening goal, setting the tone for the rest of the match. Zanna also had an outstanding game, showing versatility by playing on both the left and right wings. She was quick to intercept passes from Loretto which helped Cargilfield regain control of the ball. Kirsty played the game mainly as the striker, where she dribbled the ball down the field, creating opportunities for her teammates and keeping Loretto’s defenders on their toes.
In defence, Mo, Clara, and Sophie all worked well together, only allowing one goal from the opposition. Throughout the game, Mo and Clara kept an eye on the Loretto players around them and were constantly moving around to defend and intercept the Loretto passes. Sophie played not only in defence but also up on the wing, which she made the most of by scoring another goal for Cargilfield. Her outstanding performance earned the title of Player of the Match from Loretto.
The final score reflected the team’s impressive passing, spreading out and teamwork. Congratulations to the girls on a well-deserved victory!
