U11A Hockey beat Craigclowan

Well played, boys!

U11A Hockey v Craigclowan A

Won 4-0

The U11A team secured a solid 4-0 victory against Craigclowan in a competitive match. Despite the comfortable score line, the game was scrappy at times as we occasionally got in each other’s way. Maintaining width will be key going forward to stretch opposition defences.

Nick opened the scoring with a powerful shot in the corner; Daniel got the second with the keeper choosing to use his stick instead of his kickers and then Archer got the 3rd with a well-taken finish past the onrushing keeper. Nick added the final goal in the second half but we could have got more had our finishing been sharper.

Defensively, Tommy was rock solid at the back, keeping Craigclowan’s attacks at bay, while Faris made a couple of crucial saves to preserve the clean sheet. Teddy’s relentless energy earned him Player of the Match, setting the tempo for the team.

With the IAPS qualifiers next week, competition for places is heating up, and the team will look to sharpen their play in preparation. Well done, everyone!
