2ndQtr 3-0
3rdQtr 4-0
4thQtr 3-0
Playing with a new formation worked well for the U13A boys’ hockey team today who looked comfortable during a strong display at Craigclowan. There were some encouraging passages of play with the ball being passed around the pitch effectively. I was most impressed with the desire to win ball that the boys showed and their willingness to contribute to the team performance. Everyone supported each other throughout the match and everybody gave their best, which are exciting team values to see.
The hard work that the boys put in during every training session was showing in the quality of their game-play today. Come rain or shine (and it really did rain on Monday during games!), the boys are enthusiastic and committed to their sport, which is fun to coach. This group are beginning to gel and they look like a competitive and very promising team. With the IAPS qualifiers next week, there will be a lot more of that determination and hard work over the coming days to make sure we approach the tournament in our best shape possible.
Well played, boys.
