U10 A Netball v Loretto

Won 14-11

This was a really fast paced game. Although we had the first centre pass Loretto got possession very quickly and scored the first goal. This spurred us into action and we remembered to try a lot of the things we had been working on in trainings session like dodging and avoiding loopy passes. This was a good tactic as for the most part the Loretto girls were taller than us. We ended the quarter 4 goals ahead.

In the second and third quarters Loretto steamed back into contention. We had to make quick decisions and the girls worked very hard to get in front of their players. Our shooting was on point with Sophie and Clara and then later Arabella all shooting well today. The net took a little getting used to as it was lower than we had worked with before but we soon got into the swing of it.

Isobel, Mo, and Sophia also worked hard to defend and keep the ball away from their shooters. When Loretto did get a chance at a goal they almost always scored.

We entered the final quarter with a three goal lead and played some super netball. There were lots of quick direct passes and good hands on show. Our defending and our shooting were both excellent. All in all, a super team effort.
