U11B Cricket v Strathallan

Match 1: 256-221 (W), Match 2: 261-216 (W)

The Cargilfield U11 girls delivered two fantastic wins against Strathallan in a double-header of Kwik Cricket, showcasing excellent teamwork and skill.

Game 1: Cargilfield bowled first, with Zanna taking 3 wickets in a brilliant opening spell. Niamh bowled tightly, supported by Eleora and Anastasia with strong fielding. Sophia and Katherine closed out the innings as Strathallan finished on 21 for 3. In reply, Zanna started powerfully with some fours and sixes, scoring 27 runs with Niamh. Eleora smashed a six and Anastasia hit a four, they both batted well, taking the score to 49. Katherine and Sophia finished the innings well, bringing the total to 56 for 1.

Game 2: Cargilfield again impressed in the field, with 4 wickets taken and Strathallan held to just 16 runs. Batting second, the girls played confidently, with standout shots from Zanna and Eleora, and great running from Sophia and Katherine, a good catch from Anastasia and some lovely hitting from Niamh. The girls ended on a score of 61 for 1.

Zanna was named Player of the Match by the opposition. A brilliant afternoon of cricket and team spirit – well done, girls!
