Today saw 6 batting pairs going in the order of Helena and Georgia, Glory and minty, Praise and Florence, Lily and Katherine, Clara H and Alice B, and finally, Alice L and Alexandra.

The girl’s main strength today was their bowling. They all bowled with amazing accuracy and power, only giving away 6 wides/no balls in the whole match. Bowling particularly well in innings 1 was Glory and Helena both getting wickets in the first innings. Alice L also did a fantastic catch and got out a player. Despite this, Belhaven batted extremely well, managing to score lots of 6’s and 4’s leading to them finishing batting with a score of 260.

Cargilfield weren’t as on it with their fielding as normal and left innings one with room for improvement. Cargilfield batted next Georgia scored a 6 and a 4! Katherine and Helena also both scored 4’s. Belhaven fielded really well however, leaving Cargilfield with a score of 248. Cargilfield fielded better in the second innings, Glory took another wicket! However, Belhaven continued to bat well and finished batting with a score of 325. Cargilfield made some great tactical runs to finish but fell short, finishing with a score of 312. Overall a close match with some room to improve. Well done girls!
