On Tuesday the Music and Art Scholars enjoyed a joint trip to St Cecilia's Hall to visit the collection of historical instruments. We were able to find out details about the development of instruments over the past 500 years and the children got the opportunity to try out replica instruments, ranging from a harpsichord to a sackbut, and find out just how different they felt as well as sounded. With so many excellent questions from the children our guided tour was over in no time at all. Thank you to Dr Sarah Deters for sharing her expertise and making us so welcome.
