Follow the signs for Stirling on the M9. Continue past Stirling and take the A9 to Perth road. Take the A822 slip road signposted Braco and Muthill to Crieff. Crieff is about 12 miles from this turn off. On entering Crieff over the river continue up Burrell Street until a T junction at the top of the hill. Turn left into Comrie road – there is a signpost indicating Ardvreck School. If you want to go to the school then follow these signposts.
If you want to go straight to the pitches continue along Comrie road for about quarter of a mile and they are on the left as the road bends to the left – there is a small car park.
Take the A1 South to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Take the left exit to Dunbar at the Thisltley Cross Roundabout and follow the road under the railway bridge to the next roundabout (BELTON). Take the right exit and follow the road through West Barns and into Belhaven. The road goes up a slight hill (High Street) and on the left is a red sandstone wall. You will see a School warning road sign and about 50m past this sign take a left turn through the School gates before the Church.
Travel on the A1 towards Edinburgh and turn right at the SPOTT ROUNDABOUT. Follow the road past the Light Industrial Estate (Belhaven Brewery & Eve Coaches are easily visible) under the railway bridge and at the T-junction turn left. Follow the road past the Medical Centre (on your left) and past the Barns Ness Hotel (on your right) and continue on the road for Edinburgh. Follow this road (Countess Road then Somerfield Road, a residential area) for about 1/2 a mile and at the T-junction (with the Grammar School on your right) you will see the School gates ahead across the road.
Take the W Coates/A8 out of Edinbrugh heading west. Continue to follow the A8 for 7 miles. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the B7030. Follow this road for 0.1 miles, and take the first left on to Cliftonhall Road/B7030. Follow this road for 1.3 miles and then turn right on Clifton Road. Follow this road until you reach Clifton Hall School.
Follow the signs for the Forth Road Bridge. Cross the Forth Road Bridge and follow the M90 towards Perth (about 40 minutes drive). On approaching Perth, take the left hand slip road marked A9 Glasgow, Stirling, Inverness. Keep bearing to the left on dual carriageway until you reach Broxden roundabout on the outskirts of Perth. Go straight on following the signs to A9 Inverness and shortly afterwards take the first sliproad off to the left, signposted A85 Crieff.
At the mini roundabout turn left and stay on the A85 until you almost reach the village of Methven. Turn right immediately before the village (at the “30mph in 100 metres” sign). The turn is signed to Glenalmond. Follow this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach a T-junction. Turn left and continue on this road until a signpost marked Glenalmond College. Take the entrance marked Back Avenue and continue until you see the Astro Pitches on your right.
Take the A1 South to Berwick-upon-Tweed. Follow the road past Haddington and East Linton and at the Dunbar Roundabout continue to Berwick-upon-Tweed. At the Spott Road Roundabout (you will see an Asda store just beyond) turn left to Dunbar. Turn left at the mini-roundabout (opposite Asda) into KELLIE ROAD (click for map) and continue to the end where there is room to park. The astro is ahead and easy to spot!
Take the City of Edinburgh By Pass/ A720 and head east. At the roundabout near Mussleburgh Golf Course take 2nd exit and follow road for 0.3 miles at roundabout take 2nd exit onto the B6415 and follow for 1 mile. Turn right onto Olive Bank Road, continue through roundabout onto Mall Avenue. Continue to follow the Road onto High Street/A1999 for 0.4 miles. Just after St Peter’s Church on the right hand side you will see the entrance to Loretto School the Pinkie Campus. Drive through the gates and follow the road. Parking is located on site. The Hope Courts are located on the Pinkie Campus, follow the road straight ahead between the two main buildings and you will find the courts on your right hand side.
Take the City of Edinburgh By Pass/ A720 and head east. At the roundabout near Mussleburgh Golf Course take 2nd exit and follow road for 0.3 miles at roundabout take 2nd exit onto the B6415 and follow for 1 mile. Turn right onto Olive Bank Road, continue through roundabout onto Mall Avenue. Continue to follow the Road onto High Street/A1999 for 0.4 miles. Just after St Peter’s Church on the right hand side you will see the entrance to Loretto School the Pinkie Campus. Drive through the gates and follow the road. Parking is located on site.
Coming from the M8 join the north bypass at the Hermiston Junction (the big roundabout as you enter the outskirts of Edinburgh at the end of the M8), then at the next roundabout take the third junction, to Edinburgh West. Turn left onto Maybury Road, and continue onto Queensferry Road (A90). Turn left onto the Telford Road, and then at the Crewe Toll turn left onto Ferry Road, the A902.
East Fettes Avenue will shortly be on your right, with the pitch sitting slightly up on your left if you take that right turn.
Take the A720 City of Edinburgh By-Pass and turn off at the Dreghorn interchange. Cross the motorway, past the filling station and over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout turn left on to Redford road (B701). Continue until ‘T’ junction at Colinton road – there are traffic lights. Turn right and 200m on the left is the entrance to Merchiston Castle School.
Head east on the A1 toward Calton Hill. Then turn right onto Willowbrae Road, continue to follow the A1 onto Milton Road/A199. After 0.9 miles turn right onto A199 and follow the coast until turning left onto New Street after 0.4 miles. Follow New Street for 0.6 miles until you see Mountjoy Terrace on your left. Turn left onto Mountjoy Terrace and the pitches and parking are located on your right hand side.
Go down Broughton Street, heading North, at the roundabout continue straight over and continue down Bellevue and Rodney Street, follow the road round onto Huntly Street/B901 and then onto Inverleith Row. Then turn left on to Inverleith Place for 0.3miles. At roundabout take 3rd exit onto Arboretum Road, on your first left onto Kinnear Road, Newfield Recreational Grounds are located on your left.
If approaching via the A1, leave at the Newcraighall Junction. At the roundabout at the bottom of the slip road follow the A6095 (Craigmillar). Keep following these signs for about 3 km until you see two high-rise blocks on the left hand side. Peffermill Playing Fields are located on the left hand side. Ignore the first large blue University sign and continue along Peffermill Road. The main entrance is 150 metres approx after the road bends to the left.
If approaching from Musselburgh, at the lights beside the Caprice restaurant, follow the A6095 (Newcraighall and Craigmillar) signs then follow the above directions.
If approaching by the A702 or the A701, join the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass eastbound at the Hillend jct and leave at the next jct, Straiton. At the end of the slip road follow the A701 city centre signs. Continue on the A701 until you come the major crossroads traffic lights junction (about 2.5 km) with Cameron Toll Shopping Centre on the right.
If approaching via the A7 or A68 take the A7 city centre exit at the Sheriffhall roundabout. Stay on the A7 until you come to the major crossroads traffic lights junction (about 2.5 km) with Cameron Toll Shopping Centre on the right.
Keep in the right lane and turn right (A6095 Craigmillar), passing Cameron Toll Shopping Centre on the right. Go straight across the mini roundabout and at the next large roundabout take the second exit (A6095 Craigmillar) on to Peffermill Road. The main entrance to Peffermill Playing Fields is approx 200 metres on the right hand side, just after Capital Motors and Two Wheels.
If approaching from the M9, continue to its termination where it joins the M8, ensuring you follow signs for the M8 East (Edinburgh). Once on the M8, or if approaching from the M8, continue to its termination (Hermitage Gate roundabout) and follow signs for the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass eastbound. Stay on the A720 until the Straiton Junction where you leave the Bypass. At the end of the slip road, follow the A701 city centre signs. Continue on the A701 until you come to the major crossroads traffic lights junction (about 2.5 km) with Cameron Toll Shopping Centre on the right. Keep in the right lane amd turn right (A6095 Craigmillar), passing Cameron Toll shopping centre on the right. Go straight across the mini roundabout and at the next large roundabout take the second exit (A6095 Craigmillar) on to Peffermill Road. The main entrance to Peffermill Playing Fields is approx 200 metres on the right hand side, just after Two Wheels.
Take the City of Edinburgh By Pass A720 heading east. Follow signs for Musselburgh. The best place to park is on the A199 outside the gates of the Loretto Senior School on the main road. You can then cut through the gate, following the path south that runs alongside Pinkie Burn. The car park in Pinkie St Peter’s Primary school tends to have its gates locked.
Travel north on the M90 and leave the motorway at junction 9, signposted Bridge of Earn. Turn left to Bridge of Earn and after the zebra crossing turn left again into Station Road onto the B935, signposted Forgandenny and Strathallan School. Follow the road for 3.5 miles to Forgandenny. The main school gates are approximately 200 metres after the Forgandenny and 30mph signs on the right.
Take the A9 past Stirling and Auchterarder. Approximately 2 miles after the B9141 to Dunning (approximately 5 miles before Perth) take the right-hand turning across the carriageway onto the B934, signposted Forteviot and Dunning. Take extreme care at this junction, and signal early.
Once on the B934, follow signs for Forteviot, Forgandenny and Strathallan School, picking up the B935. In Forgandenny, the main school gates are on the left, 100 metres after the Post Office.
Take the A9 to Perth and then take the M90, signposted Edinburgh and Forth Road Bridge, bypassing Perth. Leave the motorway at junction 9, signposted Bridge of Earn. Turn right to Bridge of Earn and after the zebra crossing turn left again into Station Road onto the B935, signposted Forgandenny and Strathallan School. Follow the road for 3.5 miles to Forgandenny. The main school gates are on the right approximately 200 metres after the Forgandenny and 30mph signs.
Follow the drive and take the right-hand fork leading to the main building where parking is available. Reception is through the main doors.

Follow the Edinburgh City Bypass round to Sheriffhall roundabout. Take the 3rd exit on to A720. At Millerhill junction, branch left then at roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A68. Follow the A68 south. Continue forward at Carfraemill roundabout, and head straight through Lauder. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the A6091, signpostedMelrose, Galashiels.
Turn right on to High Road (B6374) . EnterMelrose High Street. Drive down the High Street and St Mary’s school entrance is just before the rugby pitch on the right hand side.
