The final netball match of the season took place amidst the impressive facilities of Strathallan. In a tightly contested affair, Strathallan held a slim lead of two points in the first two quarters, maintaining a narrow one-point advantage in the third. Undeterred, our team displayed unwavering determination, pushing themselves to the limit. They focused on refining their passing techniques, employing square and down passes in the last quarter to minimize interception opportunities.
In the attacking end, Thalia, recognized as the player of the match, anchored the team alongside Athena and Emily. Athena and Emily demonstrated excellent reading of the match in the wing attack and center positions, while Freya adeptly transitioned between goal attack and center roles. Defensively, Glory predominantly operated as wing defense, supported by Praise and Clara in the goal defense and goalkeeper positions.
Despite the intensity of the game, the girls embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, relishing every moment of the match. As the season draws to a close, it is evident that each player has made significant progress. Congratulations to all the girls for their dedication and achievements throughout the season!
