U13 Netball v Strathallan
Won 20-7
This was more of a friendly fixture as Strathallan’s first team were mostly on tour or off sick, so we played a mixed form 8 and form 7 team. This was a great way for our form 8 girls to finish their netball career at Cargilfield. Our intention was to have as much fun as we could.
We took a very early lead with some strong shooting from Lottie and Emilia DH, going 7 goals ahead in the first quarter. Aglaya showed some of her best netball this season, making some strong interceptions on the wing. In defence, Ceci and Val were strong and managed some really good rebound balls.
Olivia held things together at Centre and was supported by Nadia at WA both of who rotated into shooting positions later on.
Emilia M came on and played well on the Wing and Strathallan picked up to score 3 goals fairly quickly in the second quarter, We more than matched them with another 5 so were comfortably ahead at the half way point.
In the second half everyone played out of their natural position and actually I was really impressed with how versatile the team had become over the season. Although we were less dominant in this half we played very well and deserved our win.
